so busy

I had so many things I wanted to do under this domain but best of intentions yada yada.

I've been learning jquery a bit more, I picked up another book in the head first series to help my OO skills since their seriously lacking. I've also been playing with modifying a project I started a long time ago and adding in spry and reworking it.

I'd have much less time if a certain team would turn the corner on that losing decade.

Rob Wilkerson's Gravatar How sad are the Blackhawks these days? I grew up south of Detroit and, while the last 10 years have been a good time to be a Wings fan (except for that great regular season/early playoff exit that seems to be trending lately), I remember the early and mid-80's well. Those were lean years, indeed.

DK's Gravatar I think the Wings are going out early again this year unfortunately. Their lacking some size and are a bit soft imho.

then again I'm a hawks fan so my good judgement is ..... lol :)

Rob Wilkerson's Gravatar They'll need Datsyuk to step up bigger than he has in past playoff appearances. A lot bigger. In fact, all of their young talent needs to show some heart and be aggressive. Talent can carry you through an 82 game season, but the playoffs are an absolute gut check.

Win or lose, this year just won't be the same without watching Yzerman fight his way through and do everything he can to pull the team along. No one else has shown that kind of heart.

Dana Kowalski's Gravatar the NHL playoffs are always fun to watch because the refs usually remind us what the 'old NHL' was all about. They let some of the more physical play go on and call a lot less. I think if that holds true we're gonna see Anaheim vs San Jose for the western title. my prediction anyhow..... but I thought the Hawks would contend for that 8th spot a lot longer than 1 week this season :P
